Binatang pengerat pemakan segala macam tumbuhan dan dikenal sebagai hama perusak tanaman itu meresahkan petani.\u00a0Jika dibiarkan bisa menggagalkan petani.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Populasi tikus sangat pesat. Disebabkan tikus mampu beradaptasi terhadap lingkungan dengan baik. Karena tikus tidak tergantung satu sumber makanan saja. Bila populasi tikus di wilayah petanian tidak di kendalikan maka tikus akan menjadi petaka bagi petani. Bisa bisa petani gagal panen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Dalam rangka pengendalian hama tikus di Dusun Ketonggo Kelurahan Kradegan Kecamatan Bulukerto Kabupaten Wonogiri Jawa Tengah, kelompok tani Ngundi Mulyo dibawah pimpinan Meru Supatmo,\u00a0\u00a0bersama anggota Koramil 21\/Bulukerto dan PPL Bulukerto melakukan gropyok tikus dengan cara pengasapan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Pengasapan menjadi alternatif pengendalian hama tikus di sawah. Caranya menggunakan KNO 3 sejenis potassium nitrat (bahan pembuat petasan). Pengasapan dilakukan di mulut lubang sarang tikus, kemudian ditutup dengan alat sederhana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Potasium berfungsi efektif mendorong gas belerang masuk ke dalam sarang. Maka di dalam sarang itulah asap potassium bekerja membasmi tikus. Sehingga tikus dan indukan dan anak anaknya mati di dalam lubang atau sarangnya. Tikus mati di dalam. Tampa harus bingung terhadap bangkainya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Harapannya berdampak pada menghasilkan panen padi sesuai target. &#8220;Cara ini termasuk paling efektif. Disamping tidak merusak lahan persawahan, caranya pun relatif mudah&#8221; kata Pelda Bambang selaku Koramil Koramil 21\/Bulukerto yang turun mendampingi anggota dan petani, Kamis (2\/1) siang.
